Thane International complaint by SueB
I ordered the H2O mop. The last page, following the final transaction, asks if you, the consumer, would like a $15 rebate on your product. Then it asks you to submit your e-mail address. I assumed, like many consumers would, that something would be forwarded to me via e-mail to receive that rebate. Once I clicked on OK, all of a sudden, it tells me that I have just joined some kind of a club and that I can cancel within 30 days. The $15 dollar rebate was just to suck the customer in. To me, this constitutes fraud. At no time, did I have any prior knowledge that this would constitute joining a club. At no time prior to submitting my e-mail address on that page or providing my credit card information to purchase the product, did I know they would be doing this. Even if this product is as good as the reviews say it is, I will not endorse this company or its fraudulent practices and will not recommend doing business with this company to any consumer. CONSUMER BEWARE!
